I tried a different, cleaner method of making the wall. The openings doesn’t seem to work on rectangles so I also tried a hexagonal wall, which worked.

I tried to create a wall with different sizes of cutouts. Next step would be to further manipulate the opening sizes and to make the wall dance a bit.
