Most things are working all right at this stage, but I’m not sure if cocoon is the one I want, I just feel like the net structure isn’t going very well with my design. The other problem I have is that all the outcomes look pretty similar.
Hi! Forgot to post the last couple of weeks so here’s it compiled”
WEEK 1 + 2 – Research
WEEK 3 – SKETCHES
Idea: create a series of vases that adapts one module (a tube) depending on # of flower stems and size of flower stem.
WEEK 4 – INITIAL ITERATION
Playing with shape of tubes, size of tubes, height of tubes, distance of tubes.
WEEK 5 – REFINING
Need to figure out how to mesh tubes together, and maybe a Boolean (?) to stop # of tubes from growing when the tubes have touched each other.
Week 1-Sketch Study
Week 2-Intend to create a twisted form in multiple layers and massing study
Week 3– Translate the massing form to polylines
Week 4-5 Use plugin to make the polylines into volumetric strings
Testing Baked Forms
Apologies! I forgot we need to be posting assignments onto the class blog so I’ve compiled everything thus far into this one.
Wk 1+2- Research
Wk 3 – Sketches
Wk 4 – Start/Make a Surface
Wk 5 – Keep Working: push past getting stuck
I finished reading the first half of the Primer, and I saw this part where it looks very similar to the basic computer programming logic. I understand what these operators mean but I’m wondering how would one use these in 3D model making, or are these made for some other purpose?
