I try to 3D print my vase. But because my inner part is not touching the ground. So I had to add supports in order to print. However. I decided to make my inner part touching the ground because I don’t want to add supports when printing.
There are too many people laser cutting this week……
The labeling works on the screen itself….
but doesn’t show up on laser cutting unfold when “Ei” is connected to “Item”
and it all shows up as null
but when “En” is connected to item, there is line-like curve….. so there shouldn’t be anything wrong with “Edges” itself
and it shows up here:
also, A0 and A2 (and a bunch of other ones) is line-less but it intersects with other pieces…….
This week we worked on tilting the panels as well as making the lasercut files. We have some questions about the notching that we’ll ask during desk crit. But here’s a GIF of the tilting – this will definitely help with the transparency!!!
PROTOTYPE 1.0
Effect of overall pattern in small scale
Process of Prototyping
FIGURING OUT STRUCTURE AND COMPONENTS
1 Structure Break down
2 Creating the Diamond Grid Structure for the open triangular modules
Attempt at a data tree replacing paths somehow didn’t really work…
Attempt at connecting two sets of breps together in order to get both intersecting lines it works but does not show up in the laser printing file
What do we do now…?
There is The testing model of our boundary design.
We attempted the notch the various elements together and they seem to be working fairly well in terms of staying together individually . The main concern now is whether or not the entire screen will be able to stay together should it be on a larger scale.
The screen itself has no visible problems the main problem now will be notching everything together because most of the pieces look very similar.
