Parametric Threshold

Idea for Prototype – Group: Edeline, Justin, Seal

This is one of the ideas of our group. Here is shown how the canopy can simulate waves by hanging some specific points and let other points to drape down. This way by having the surface with openings of different sizes it will allow us to create underneath different shadows.

Combining Ideas – Concept 3

Team member: Justin, Seal, Edeline.

Here we wanted to show a suspended ceiling installation simulating a cocoon. We want to create a feeling of enclosure in space.

Combining Ideas – Concept 2

Team member: Justin, Edeline and me.
This idea is about a fold-able screen for generating an temporary space in the exhibition or for other use.
Pattern are effected by the distance and shape of frames.

Another idea is about 3D weave pattern.

HygroScope

Alex and I were inspired by the movement of this project by HygroScope, displayed at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
The movement of this project was achieved by humidity– we would like to see if we can play with the idea of dynamism as well–perhaps with the air flow of the users/visitors can change the perception of the installation.

Project

Alex and I are working as a team.

For our final project we imagine a parametrically shaped hanging installation. We started sketching out as well as collecting reference/precedent images of what we would like to do.
