















Trying to add randomness to my hex grid but running into problems. I’m working off of the file we did in class. In the second of the two screenshots below there is some randomization going on but the hexes are also extruded and randomly so, and I’m not sure what is controlling this versus the randomization of the color. Ben – I just sent you an email about this.


This time, I tried to make the operating system more easily to manipulate. The graph makes the form of the surface more visualized. But it also makes the organization of the bricks rigid.



This is the improvement of last class. I simplified the sliders and named them corresponding to their effects (like the components in the red dashed frame below).








I try to create holes in the hexagon, and each size is based on the curvature of the surface. I cannot create a surface on the curved surface based on the hexagon grid. I tried to extrude the curve and then cap it, but it is very wired that it didn’t create surfaces. It is more like a 3D-cube. My laptop becomes lag because of that.
After finishing the Parametric Truss video series things seem to be working somewhat correctly but there’s a recurring error with the offset curves components.
